Welcome to Conceivable Future (“CF”), a network of Americans who bring awareness to the threat climate change poses to our reproductive lives, and demand an end to U.S. fossil fuel subsidies. We invite you to explore our content, and share your own. First, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our site’s Terms of Use.
By accessing or using our website at conceivablefuture.org, including any subdomain thereof (the “Site”), you signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms of use (“Terms of Use”). The Terms of Use, together with CF’s Privacy Policy, which are deemed incorporated herein, form the entire agreement between you and CF with respect to your use of the Site.
By accepting these Terms of Use you acknowledge that you have read and accept them. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use (including our Privacy Policy), you should not use this Site and you will not be permitted to engage in any interactions with the Site. The Site is owned and operated by CF in the United States.
Changes to these Terms of Use
You are reading the most current version of these Terms of Use. CF may, in its sole discretion, modify these Terms of Use from time to time. The revised Terms of Use will be posted on the Site and the date at the top of this page indicates the last revised date of the Terms of Use. You understand and agree that your continued use of the Site after we have made any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use. CF has no obligation to provide any other notice of such modifications.
Submissions
In order for you to upload and submit any testimony, submissions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback or other content or information to CF in any form (“Submissions”), you will be required to create an account and accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these Terms of Use, you will not be permitted to make your own Submissions or comment on any one else’s posted Submissions. You will be required to submit your real name and contact information as part of the consent process. Failure to submit such accurate personal information shall result in the rejection of your submission.
You acknowledge and agree that, subject only to CF’s Privacy Policy, any Submissions are non-confidential and that CF has no obligation to guard against any third party use or misuse of such Submissions.
By submitting your Submissions, you grant to CF an irrevocable, perpetual, transferable, non-exclusive, fully-paid, worldwide, license to (a) use, copy, transmit, distribute, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, adapt, combine with other ideas or works, publish, translate, publicly perform, and publicly display your Submissions or any modifications thereto, in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or later developed, and (b) use your Submissions, in whole or part, in any manner and to disseminate your Submissions, in whole or in part, for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgment or compensation to you.
By submitting Submissions through the Site:
you verify that you are at least 18 years of age;
you agree that you are solely responsible for your Submissions;
you confirm your Submissions are original and do not infringe on any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights, publicity or privacy rights, or other legal or moral rights of any third party, and that your Submissions do not violate any laws, rules or regulations;
you verify that you own all rights in your Submissions, , or you have acquired all necessary rights in your Submissions sufficient for you to lawfully post them on the Site and grant CF the license rights herein;
you verify that your Submissions do not contain any harmful, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically motivated, or otherwise objectionable content in the sole discretion of CF; and
you verify that your Submissions do not contain any viruses or any other harmful or malicious computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionally of the Site, any computer software or hardware, or telecommunications equipment.
Review of Submissions
CF reserves the right to prescreen any and all Submissions and monitor any area of the Site through which Submissions may be submitted and are posted. Submissions to the Site must be related to CF’s mission. Submissions will not be posted if they are determined by CF, in its sole discretion, as not conforming to these Terms of Use, or not in accordance with CF’s mission and goals. CF may remove at any time or refuse any Submissions for any reason in its sole discretion.
Intellectual Property and Proprietary Rights Ownership
The Site features various types of content, including video, audio, text, logos, icons, images, graphics, photos, designs, layouts, screen displays and menus, as well as underlying code in various formats and software (collectively, “Content”). Unless otherwise specified in the Terms of Use, all Content is owned and controlled by CF, its affiliates, licensors, founders and/or owners, and is protected by the copyright and trademark laws of the United States, international conventions, and other countries’ relevant laws. The Site itself is protected by CF as a collective work and/or compilation, pursuant to United States copyright laws, international conventions, and other copyright laws. You may download and print out pages and static information from this Site only for your personal, non-commercial, use, provided you retain all copyright, trademark and other proprietary notices. You may not otherwise use, modify, reproduce, distribute, lease, license, republish, create derivative works from, or reverse engineer in any way any Content or functionality of the Site without the express written consent of CF. Other than the license rights granted to CF with respect to Submissions, you retain ownership of, and are solely responsible for, all intellectual property and ownership rights in Submissions.
DMCA Agent and Copyright Infringement Complaints
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512©(2) (the “DMCA”), CF has registered an agent with the U.S. Copyright Office to receive any notifications of claimed copyright infringements relating to any content displayed on or hosted on this Site (the “DMCA Agent”).

Only notifications of claimed copyright infringements from actual copyright holders that are sent to the email address registered with the U.S. Copyright Office will be processed. To meet the notice requirements under the DMCA, the notification must be a written communication that includes the following:
a physical or electronic signature of the copyright holder or a person authorized to act on his or her behalf;
description of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed;
description of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed, or access to which is to be disabled. This must include a description of where the material claimed to be infringing is located on the Site, including the URL of the applicable web site page on which the allegedly infringing work appears.
Information reasonably sufficient to permit CF to contact the complaining party or their agent, , including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address;
a statement that the copyright holder or authorized agent has a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted material complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent or the law; and

CF reserves the right to (1) block access to or remove Submissions or any other material that we believe in good faith to be copyrighted material that has been illegally copied and distributed by any of our affiliates, content providers, members, or users, and (2) disable or terminate the user accounts of repeat infringers in its sole discretion and under appropriate circumstances.
Links to Third Party Websites and Content
The Site contains (or you may be sent through the Site) links to other web sites (“Third Party Sites”), as well as articles, photographs, text, graphics, pictures, designs, music, sound, video, information, software and other content belonging to or originating from third parties (the “Third Party Content”). Such Third Party Sites and Third Party Content are not investigated, monitored or checked for accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness by CF, and CF is not responsible for any Third Party Sites accessed through the Site or any Third Party Content posted on the Site, including without limitation the content, accuracy, offensiveness, opinions, reliability or policies of or contained in the Third Party Sites or the Third Party Content. Linking to any Third Party Site or inclusion of any Third Party Content does not imply approval or endorsement thereof by CF. If you decide to leave the Site and access Third Party Sites, you do so at your own risk and you should be aware that our terms and policies no longer govern. You should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any Third Party Site to which you navigate from the Site.
Privacy
CF’s Privacy Policy is incorporated into and form a part of these Terms of Use. Please refer to CF’s Privacy Policy.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CF and its officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, agents, founders and/or owners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including attorneys’ fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from (a) your violation of these Terms of Use and your representations and obligations herein, (b) any Submissions that infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property or any other proprietary rights of any third party, and © your negligence or misconduct. CF reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you and, in such case, you agree to cooperate with CF’s defense of such claim.
House Parties
Users of the Site, or other individuals and groups unaffiliated with CF, may host house parties organized for people to meet and discuss CF’s mission or topics related to CF’s mission (“Third Party House Parties”). The Conceivable Future House Party How-To guide (the “How-To Guide”) available on the Site provides mere suggestions on how to host Third Party House Parties. CF provides no support, financial or otherwise, to Third Party House Parties, and has no control over any Third Party House Parties or the activities at such parties. The How-To Guide constitutes Content owned by CF.
You acknowledge and agree that the organization and running of Third Party House Parties is solely the responsibility of the organizer and attendees and not CF. You hereby absolve CF from any and all liability of any nature arising out of any Third Party House Parties. You acknowledge and agree that neither CF nor or any of its affiliates, officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, agents, founders and/or owners shall be liable to you or others for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, lost data or other intangible losses (even if CF had been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of whether based in tort, contract or otherwise), resulting from any Third Party House Party. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CF and its officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, agents, founders and/or owners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including attorneys’ fees) that may incur as a result of or arising from any Third Party House Party.
All Submissions created or obtained at Third Party House Parties must be accompanied by a duly executed Project Participant Release available in the How-To Guide. Submissions without a duly executed Project Participant Release will not be accepted.

Other
The failure of CF to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in that or any other instance. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held invalid, the remainder of these Terms of Use shall continue in full force and effect. If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
